Ingredients
 

Spiced Simple Syrup

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 cardamom pods crushed
  • ½ tablespoon whole cloves
  • 1 star anise

Apple Cider Moscow Mule

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz spiced simple syrup
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 4 oz apple cider apple juice/non-alcoholic apple juice
  • 6 oz ginger beer use good quality ginger beer
  • ice
  • lime, apple slice and cinnamon stick used for garnish

Instructions
 

Spiced Simple Syrup

  • Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan, and heat on low to medium until the sugar dissolves.
  • Remove from heat and let it stand for 10 minutes so that the flavours can infuse.
  • Remove cinnamon sticks, and strain the syrup into an air-tight jar or container. 

Spiced Apple Cider Moscow Mule

  • Add ice to a copper Moscow Mule mug.
  • Add vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, then top with the apple cider and ginger beer. 
  • Stir, garnish and serve.
