Spiced Simple Syrup
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup water
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 cardamom pods crushed
- ½ tablespoon whole cloves
- 1 star anise
Apple Cider Moscow Mule
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz spiced simple syrup
- 1 oz lime juice
- 4 oz apple cider apple juice/non-alcoholic apple juice
- 6 oz ginger beer use good quality ginger beer
- ice
- lime, apple slice and cinnamon stick used for garnish
Spiced Simple Syrup
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan, and heat on low to medium until the sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and let it stand for 10 minutes so that the flavours can infuse.
Remove cinnamon sticks, and strain the syrup into an air-tight jar or container.
Spiced Apple Cider Moscow Mule
Add ice to a copper Moscow Mule mug.
Add vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, then top with the apple cider and ginger beer.
Stir, garnish and serve.
