Come Dine With Me - cooking made easy, stress free entertaining

Adam and I love to entertain, it’s practically a weekly thing in our household, whether it’s a casual Thursday night dinner with friends, or a full blown birthday gathering of 8 people.

We both strongly believe that food is best eaten in the company of others, and good food, and wine should be celebrated. To us cooking is relaxing and therapeutic, and we really want to inspire you all to feel the same way.

We get that cooking for a crowd can be stressful, and there is nothing worse than finding yourself unable to relax will hosting a dinner party – trust us, we’ve been there.  Cooking for 15 people at Christmas, was not an easy task!

However, over the years, we’ve discovered fool proof tips and tricks to help reduce the stress of hosting dinner parties and gatherings and we want to share them with you.  Cooking for large groups of people can be scary, but I am determined to make this an easier task for you!

‘Come Dine with Me’ aims to help you discover stress free entertaining by providing full menus plans, tips and tricks, helpful ‘how to’s’ and recipe ideas for gatherings, whether that be a birthday party, a romantic dinner for two, Thanksgiving, or a simple dinner for four.

I strongly believe that food should be celebrated, and that there is no greater way to connect with people, than through conversations over good food. This is why I’ve started this section on ‘The Home Cook’s Kitchen.’

Cooking for guests and entertaining is one of my true passions, and I am so happy I can get the chance to share this love with you!

I would absolutely LOVE to hear back from you - what do you find most hard about entertaining for larger crowds? What meal ideas do you want to see from us? What areas of home cooking and menu planning for gatherings and dinner parties can you help us with?

Comment below and we will find a way to help you!

I always end up making way too much food when I entertain. Like two to three times too much, at a minimum. Part of it is that I can't pare down my menu--so many recipes, so little time. But I need a good way to calculate just how much people will eat! I always mess that part up. Hope your week is going well, Georgie!

ah that is so hard to decide! I'm always a leftover fan, but especially for Thanksgiving/Christmas I ALWAYS cook too much food! Thanks for the feedback, that will definitely come into consideration when I'm planning some menu plans and helpful how tos!
