A simple, quick and easy cranberry margarita recipe, that is great for Christmas or New Years Eve party!

Oh hey guys! I know, posting two cocktails in one week is a little weird right? But considering it's Christmas and New Years soon, I am totally on board with allllll the cocktail recipes!

Are you a big cocktail drinker? I love drinking cocktails, but sometimes I forget that I have the resources available to make them at home myself! I love anything that is gin, vodka (hello Moscow Mules!) or tequila based, which is why I'm 100% in love with this cranberry margarita recipe!

I definitely think you need a signature cocktail for a big event like Christmas or New Years Eve, but sometimes I just want something that is not crazy complicated, and easy to put together if I'm in a rush or need to feed a crowd!

Enter, these cranberry margaritas!

I almost didn't post this recipe, because honestly, I thought it was too simple. But then I realized, at this crazy time of year, simple doesn't have to be bad! And sometime simple can actually be a lifesaver!

So here we are! A super simple, festive and extremely pretty cranberry margarita that can be enjoyed all year round! How did I come up with the recipe? It's actually embarrassing how easy it was! I knew I wanted to do a cocktail for New Year Eve, and opened my fridge. I realized I had some leftover cranberry juice from my red sangria I made the other day, and the cranberry margarita was born!

I figured, that if I had leftover cranberry juice in the fridge, then surely a lot of you do too!? It's something that I'm sure a lot of people have in their fridge this time of year, so what a perfect opportunity to use some leftovers!

I also had my Aussie friends in mind when I created this recipe! It's been super hot at home, so I can imagine sipping on these margaritas would be amazing in the hot weather! Don't get me wrong though, they work beautifully in the cold weather too! In fact, margaritas are great all year round wouldn't you say?

This cranberry margarita is so easy to make, and requires 4 ingredients, 5 if you include garnish! To make a margarita, you'll need good quality tequila, cranberry juice, fresh lime and triple sec. A lot of margarita recipes use simple syrup, but for this recipe I loved the tartness of the cranberry.

For garnish, I used some fresh cranberries that I had leftover, and a sprig of rosemary for a festive flair. You could totally emit the rosemary though and just use leftover lime for garnish.

This would be a great cocktail to make in a pitcher too, and you can always use the slider tool on my recipe card to adjust the quantities for more people!

Whether it's sunny or cold where you are, margaritas are always a good idea! Make your holiday season a little less stressful with this super easy, fast and refreshing cranberry margarita!
